Details: Provide semi-shade or shade, away from the window. The small leaves will scorch if exposed to bright sunlight. Water frequently, keeping the soil damp but not wet. Provide a temperature between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and high humidity of >70%. Fertilize once a month during the growing season using a balanced fertilizer at 1/2 strength. Regularly misting the plant is also recommended. Feed your Selaginella once a month starting from spring through fall. Use a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength.Its leaves are bright green and grow in tiny clumps about 1 inch tall. They spread out along the soil instead of climbing up. The stems and branches can easily be pruned to keep it from spreading. Spreads by stems that develop adventitious roots which grow downward toward moist soil for support and eventually growing a new plant. Its foliage color is vibrant green in shade and requires consistent moisture.
