Features:
- Lemongrass, also called citronella, is a tropical tall, stalky plant. It has a fresh, lemony aroma and a citrus flavor. A common ingredient in Asian cooking and can be use in different ways such as essential oil which is used in aromatherapy to freshen the air. Lemongrass tea, to promote sleep and boost immunity.
- A perfect plant for growing in-ground or in containers. Best to be planted in spring, loves direct sunlight and well-drained soil. Can reach 12 inches tall and are a half-inch wide at the base.
- Lemongrass grows in a clumping habit, with multiple stalks emerging from the same base. To take a cutting, cut the stalk cleanly with a knife about an inch from the ground. This will allow the stalk left in the ground to regrow.
- A tender perennial plant, meaning it cannot survive in colder climates. Once established, it doesn’t need much attention. Hardiness Zones: 10 and 11 USDA
