- Peace lilies (Spathiphyllum) or also known as closet plants are a popular choice for indoor houseplant, lily plants are some of the easiest plant to take care of but, proper growing condition is still important.
- Aside from its beautiful flower, this tropical shade-loving plant is also known for its air purifying ability. The white blooms of the peace lily usually appear in the spring as more of a modified leaf, a “bract,” than a multi-petaled flower. Blooms last for two long months
- Prefers light partial shade, and can tolerate fluorescent lights. Some have been known to thrive in rooms with no windows at all. Water at least once a week and keep the soil moist.
- Peace lilies do not need frequent fertilizing. Fertilizing with a balanced fertilizer one to two times per year will be enough to keep the plant happy. Hardy in Zones 10-11 USDA.
