Description
Sempervivum are succulent, rosette forming plants belonging to the Crassulaceae family. They are commonly known as Hens & Chicks, Houseleeks or Hen and Chickens. The main attraction of these plants is their colourful rosettes of leaves. fThe rosettes are most striking in the spring and summer but even in the winter when growth stops, many varieties remain attractively coloured. It is the endless range of different leaf shapes, colours and textures that make this group so interesting to enthusiasts. This selection has small-sized rosettes of apple-green with silvery cobweb threads. Short spikes of pastel flowers appear in summer. Easily increased by just removing the small baby rosettes and replanting in a new location at almost any time. Sunlight brings out bright colors in Sempervivums. When planted in full shade many varieties tend to fade to a plain green color. However, in hotter weather during the summer and in the southern United States, afternoon shade can actually help plant colors last longer. The soil’s fertility, pH, moisture and structure, as well as the temperature and age of the plant (some take up to three years for full color) also effect coloration.

Very nice baby roses! They came packaged well, and arrived in great condition. I gave them a drink and put them under the lights for a couple days to let them get over the travel shock, and today put them in 6″ pots. They were just ready to move out of the 2″ they came in. It will be another month indoors here in Maine, then some hardening before they go into the beds…so for now they will live under the lights. They are very happy little roses 🙂

They haven’t hatched yet, but I know we have plenty of food for them since we live in woods and hoping they will be natural pest control around our home. The egg cases were shipped promptly and were well packaged

It arrived and was multiple plants! Cute, fuzzy, cobweb-look; good for Halloween decor.

I was very impressed and happy with my white feather hostas. I was a little worried and skeptical about them at first but the price was hard to beat especially compared to my local nursery. The plants came well packaged (no instructions) and seemed healthy. I planted them in some pots with pine bark and parked them under my grow light. I noticed growth after 3 days and after 7 could see the beginnings of leaves. Very happy and will be ordering more!
