Description
Vase Plants are probably the most popular houseplant bromeliads on the market today. The stately plants generally have wide, strappy green leaves that sometimes appear to be lightly powdered. Their leaves have backward-curving spines that can be painful, so be careful how you pick them up. Although the plants themselves are beautiful, their long-lasting flowering bracts are stunning. Keep the center vase filled with clean water at all times. Once or twice a month dump out the water and add fresh water. The plant itself needs a thorough watering only when dry. It should never stand in water. Always repot into a pot with holes for drainage.

My blueberry plant arrived in excellent condition – super fast shipment and as described. Will definitely be ordering from Hirt’s again in the future.
For anyone who orders live plants – make sure that upon delivery you immediately open the box and remove the plants (don’t wait a day or two). I removed the packaging holding the soil in the container, watered my plant and then placed on my sunny kitchen window sill to condition for a week or so before moving outside. I will re-pot in a month or two (when I begin to see roots coming out of the pot the blueberry was shipped in). I will be ordering from Hirt’s again in the future 🙂

Working on a memorial garden with mostly hosta plants. Saw these and thought different. Received plants quickly and was surprised at the nice size for the price. Plants are very healthy. Keeping in house until ready to plant in WNY state. These will be perfect for location. Didn’t want a solid green…deer prefer those. Very happy with purchase, service and the quality! Excellent!!!

I was pleasantly surprised with this order. Very fast shipping and the plant is beautiful. It’s bigger than I expected and full, healthy and arrived in perfect shape. I would definitely recommend!
