Dinosaur (Lacinato Blue or Tuscan) Kale – Brassica oleracea – Heirloom – 2-3 ft. Hardy Biennial. A most unusual plant, also known as Dinosaur Kale or Tuscan Kale because of the texture of the leaves. Thin, dark blue-green leaves have a mild flavor and are a great addition to soups or stir-fries. Very cold hardy, it also holds up well in the heat. Can be picked continually during the winter. Leaves can be picked as soon as plant is a foot tall. Pick lower, older leaves to keep plant productive. Plant Spacing: 18″-24″ – Full Sun/Parital Shade – Moderate Water
