Description
(Zea mays) Hickory King is one of the oldest types of cultivated corn and was originally selected for the mountains of Appalachia. Plants can grow 12’ tall with 2 large ears per stalk containing huge yellow kernels no longer seen in modern corn. A great roasting corn, excellent dried for milling, especially as grits or cornmeal. Dent corn can be enjoyed fresh when young, although not as sweet as more common sweet corn varieties. Tight husks help prevent corn worms. {Quantity:} 14g (Min. 50 Seeds)

Just leaving one good review for past seeds. But from my order that was super late, I can’t grow these. I hope my seeds plant well next year. I wish you the best but next time please take into consideration that you are selling time sensitive products.

thought I’d try these this year

I’m completely empathetic to the previous reviews. I ordered several seeds on April 18th. I knew that it was going to take about 2 weeks (at the time, it was 7-14 days processing when I ordered). I reached out, after 2 weeks, asked when they would ship, and received an automated response, basically identical to the announcement on their shop page. Nothing more. Finally got a shipping notification on 05/08. It is STILL awaiting the package at USPS. I have reached out, again, & haven’t received a response. Extremely disappointing – the other seeds I ordered purchased from other places have already sprouted, & I even have blooms on some things. It’ll be a blessing if/when I receive this order, that I am able to plant them this season with results. If someone would ACTUALLY respond, I would give a better review.
