Description
40 Seeds The Mississippi Purple Cowpea also known as a “Southern Field Pea” or “Brown Crowder Pea” is a prolific yielder with 8-inch long pods that contain 12-15 smooth, tan peas that are closely bunched together (hence the nickname “crowder” peas) and can shell out easily. These peas are incredibly productive and heat tolerant, making them an easy pick for Southerners. The Mississippi Purple Cowpea has a brighter red/pink pod compared to the dark purple pod of the Mississippi Purplehull Cowpea. Crowders are also incredible source of dietary fiber and protein, which makes this classic a no-brainer! Ordered a set of 5 seeds. All came neatly packed and they even packed 2 extra gift packs of seeds! 😀
Definitely going to order again.

These seeds grew so fast! We had lots of hot humid weather so they really took off. They are beautiful, still waiting for blooms as they have long maturation process. So far could not be happier.

Tomorrow Seeds is a great company! My first shipment got crushed in a postal sorting machine and they sent a free replacement out immediately, along with an extra pack of seeds to compensate for any inconvenience – that kind of service is hard to find these days!!
