Maranta Leuconeura ‘Marisela’ (Prayer Plant) is native to Brazil.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Clean leaves with damp paper towel every 1-2 weeks to aid photosynthesis and stimulate growth. Check leaves and stalks for pests while cleaning. For more information on the importance of cleaning leaves, read our guide here.
If pests are found, remove with damp paper towel and use a mild organic pesticide in a spray bottle to coat the affected areas. More information on common pest problems can be found here.
Pet friendly, though monitor closely if any part of plant is ingested.
Water thoroughly once every 7 days and allow excess water to run out the drainage holes in the nursery pot or whichever vessel you transplant into. If your pot has no drainage holes, we recommend adding clay drainage balls to the bottom of the pot, however avoid overwatering. You can read some fundamental rules of watering here.
Low to high indirect light, avoid windows as they amplify the sun’s intensity and create heat that may damage plant. You can find our plant placement guidelines here.

I received two plants in the same package, one in great condition, the other was not so I know it wasn’t due to shipping conditions. Almost half the leaves are browning along the edge or yellow and dead and the plant itself looks as though it was fuller and its been chopped so many times that its bare. Extremely disappointed because my other plant from this seller was great, I’m just hoping it survives and I didn’t waste my money.

I received my plant today. It was well packaged there was no dirt all over inside. The plant looks beautiful and Hardy. The seller provided instructions on how to best care for the plant until it has acclimated to its new home and that really helped. I will be back for more. This is a really good seller. The plant was packaged well and it shipped very fast. In fact I was surprised how quickly I did get it.
