Description
Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma, Monstera Minima, Mini Monstera, ships as a fully rooted plant in a 3″ or 4″ grow pot. Super fast growers and easy care!
Rhaphidophora tetrasperma (common names: “Mini Monstera”, Philodendron “Ginny”, Philodendron “Piccolo”) is a species of plant in the family Araceae, genus Rhaphidophora. It is native to Southern Thailand and to Malaysia.
This aroid has often been mistaken for other species and families, as evidenced by some of the above common names used by plant nurseries and retailers. Some of these mistaken identities include: Monstera deliciosa (mistaken for a miniature version), Philodendron sp., and Epipremnum pinnatum, which can all have similar, pinnate foliage, depending on the individual plant’s stage of life.

Extremely well packed! When I opened the box I was surprised at how perfect it still looked after being shipped halfway across the country. The plant looks great and had no damage at all! The planter was wrapped in a paper bag with the plant sticking out of the top, the paper bag and planter were taped to the box to prevent it from moving, and the seller added a little fuzzy fiber to the top to keep the soil from moving. I’m so excited about my new plant!

WOW! I was apprehensive to order Live Plants by mail. But was relieved when it arrived in 5 days after a 6,508 mile journey! TOTALLY IMPRESSED at the meticulous detailed wrapping of each plant that included moist paper towels on top of the soil! All 6 plants survived! The post did manage to partly crush the box, but the plants fared well anyway! The plants themselves were as advertised and I’m very happy with them and they’re all doing well. Also appreciated the included flyer on preventing further shock to the plants. DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK FOR MORE!

I haven’t contacted this shop. I’ve tried to let the plants I got a little while to save them and acclimate. The first plant I got from this shop, a tineke rubber plant, while tiny (I knew that), has done really well. So I wanted a few other plants and thought I could trust this shop. I ordered the string of hearts, it arrived with a couple of tiny vines and barely a root system. It’s not doing well at all. I tried again with a calathea peacock medallion and a rare monstera tetrasperma. Both of these arrived in AWFUL condition with crinkled leaves, dying yellow, brown and black leaves, and a barely established root system. I’m going to be lucky if ANY of these survive. They have good prices, but if you rreallly want these plants, you’re probably going to be buying some of them at least twice. I can’t recommend this shop.

This little guy showed up wrapped very well, still damp and in great shape! I ordered the 3” pot. Can’t wait to see it grow!
