150 Milligrams Wow! A purple tomatillo! Not only delicious but attractive, too. The purple fruits are much sweeter than the green types and rich in beneficial antioxidants. Let the fruit remain on the plant as long as possible until the husk splits for the best flavor and color. Tomatillos grow best in conditions similar to tomatoes (because they are related) but will handle a lot more heat. Grow two or more plants to ensure good pollination.

This will be my first attempt in trying to grow Chinese Lanterns. The plants I received were good sized, healthy appearing and packaged securely. I have them in my windowsill for now and will later place in an outdoor planter when our weather warms up. Received promptly. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Plant roots were delivered fast. Extra roots were given which is nice. They were all in great condition. Now I am waiting for their sprouting. Cross my fingers.

I received 2 plants as ordered from Hirts in beautiful shape. They appeared to be very healthy – well worth the 23.48 for two. I also received another eucalyptus ordered through Etsy but from a different garden. I ordered only one as it was higher in price. The total with shipping for one plant was 45.64. One branch was broken and the color was not as blue. I’ll stick with Hirts in the future.
