Shiny, black fruits have a purple calyx and mature 9-12″ long with a mild, delicate flavor. Very vigorous and good for open field growing and home gardens. Relatively late maturing plant has an upright growth habit. If partial shade, afternoon sun is a must. Rotate crop every year, if possible. – Ideal pH level is between 5.5 and 7.2. – Fertile well drained soil preferred. Add as much of organic matters as possible. – Space seedlings 18-24″ apart; space rows 2-3′ apart – Use weed blocker (or uv-rated black plastic) to retain heat & moisture.
