100 Seeds Japanese KAMO NASU Eggplant seeds; 賀茂茄子 カモナス かもなす; Kitazawa Seed #242; Solanum melongena Kamo Nasu is a highly prized traditional kyo yasai 傳統京野菜 or Kyoto vegetable, from the Kamo 賀茂 area of Japan. It has been a delicacy in that region for hundred of years. This unique fruit is round with a flat bottom, purple-black skin, purple calyx, and weighs up to 1/2 lb. Served at top restaurants in Japan, its dense flesh has a rich flavor. Warm season annual Maturity: Approx. 65 days, about 4″ in size Planting season: Late spring/early summer Germination rate 96%; tested Jan 2021
