Description
1988 AAS Winner. Highly ornamental, semi-compact, 24″ plant bearing 2-1/2″ elongated fruits with plenty of hot chile flavor. Bred for increased yields, ripens from green to orange to red. Ideal for patio and container gardens – bring plants indoors during severe winters for continuous yields all winter. Scoville Rating: 35,000 to 40,000 HOT PEPPERS: When Wilbur Scoville first devised a means to test the heat of peppers, his hottest entry then came in at 20,000 units. Habanero and Thai chilies can go as high as 60,000. Compare that to the sweet bell pepper at zero. When hot peppers are consumed, capsaicinoids bind with pain receptors in the mouth and throat that are responsible for sensing heat. Once activated by the capsaicinoids, these receptors send a message to the brain that the person has consumed something hot. The brain responds to the burning sensation by raising the heart rate, increasing perspiration and release of endorphins. Hot peppers should be eaten with caution!

I have ordered from this seller before (I bought bareroot pineberries last year) and was so happy with my product I bought from them again. I ordered 8 cherry blossom strawberry plants. They arrived quickly and were packed fantastic! each plant had the soil taped inside the container and then carefully bubble wrapped and then more bubble wrap in the box. One plant already had strawberries started! I’m super excited to add these to my garden this year!

These plants were packed SO carefully!! Arrived in excellent condition – with their own warming packet I might mention – and we had a serious cold snap that week. They are thriving in my garden window and I can’t wait to get them in the ground. Thank you!
