Planting Instructions: Plant in Spring after all danger of frost has passed or late Fall in 1/2 inch deep in moist, well-draining soil in 65-70F soil. If starting seeds indoors, plant seeds in moist soil at a temperature of 65-70 degrees F until germination. Keep seedlings moist and when weather has warmed, transplant outdoors. Ox Eye Sunflower adapts well to clay, rocky, or shallow soil. For best results during Spring planting, cold stratification can help the seeds break dormancy and initiate germination. Mix the seed with moist sand and store it in the refrigerator for 30 days before direct sowing in the Spring. Plants growing in partial shade or moist soil may reach taller than usual heights and may need staking or support. Spacing: 10 inches
