15 Seeds CUSHAW ORANGE STRIPED Winter Squash Pumpkin seeds, Cucurbita argyrosperma. 105 days This beautiful yet delicious pumpkin is used for pies, canning and all kinds of baking. The fruit is pear-shaped with a crooked neck and has a very small seed cavity. It is white with orange stripes and has sweet yellow flesh. Fruit size 15 to 25 pounds. Germination rate 90%; tested 09/2020 Direct sow in late spring when soil is at least 60°F and frost danger has passed. Or start indoors or using cold frames few weeks earlier. Cushaw squash has pale yellow-orange flesh and a moist, tender texture. The flavor is mildly sweet, similar to a cross between a pumpkin and Butternut squash. Best applications: roasting, baking, boiling, freezing, and in baking recipes. The flesh can be eaten raw.
