(1-OZ) or ~16000 Seeds Ha Karashina Japanese Mustard Green seeds; 葉からしな; 葉芥子菜; Brassica juncea var.cernua Originally from China, introduced in the Heian period, probably widely grown during the Yayoi period. The Chinese name, when used as a medicine, is gaishi 芥子(生薬名:がいし) and refers to the seeds. The leaves also have a strong taste and are eaten as a vegetable. Maturity: Approx. 40-50 days Planting season: Early spring or early fall Germination rate 85%; tested 03/2021; seeds are packaged in ziplock poly. Need more seeds? Common Recipe: cut the tender greens into 2-inch segments, pre-heat the pan first, add shredded ginger, then stir fry the mustard greens for couple minutes, add a bit of salt as seasoning.
