Description
20 Seeds organic Hong Gochu Large Korean Hot Pepper Chili seeds; certified organic; Capsicum annuum. 홍고추 Milder than the variety Korean, but still has a bit of heat, enough to give a recipe a light kick. Shiny, light-green peppers ripen to a bright red. After the fruit begin to dry a bit, they turn a much deeper, darker red. Hong gochu simply means ‘red pepper’ in Korean. Mild/Medium hot; 75 days from transplant for green; 90 days for red. Shiny, light-green fruit ripen to bright red. Under-ripe fruit are good stuffed, breaded and fried. Ripe fruits are good for drying and processing for chili powder (e.g. making kimchi) Germination rate 99%; packed for 2022 BTW, Green ones are called put-gochu (풋고추), and red ones are called hong-gochu (홍고추).
