Description
Absolutely stunning Philodendron Micans starter plant . This is one of my all time favorite house plants and I’m so happy to be able to share it with you. Plant will come fully rooted.
Common name: “Rare Velvet Leaf Bronze Micans Vine”
Latin name: Philodendron scandens f. micans
Native to: East Mexico
Growth habit: A low growing trailing vine usually not over 8″ in height. Vines can grow over 8 feet in length.
Normal indoor temperature
Humidity: Not critical
Cultural information: Philodendron Micans is one of the most colorful of all the vining type Philodendrons. Your “Velvet-leaf” Philodendron can be placed in filtered light or an area that is dimly lit. Allow the soil to dry on the surface between waterings. Feed bi-monthly with a balanced plant food. If your plant becomes leggy… just trim it back to the desired length. The cuttings can be easily rooted in water or vermiculite.
Please understand that these are living plants. I always try to ship out all my plants without any damage to their leaves, however, sometimes during the shipping process, the plant may get browning on a leaf or damage to a leaf. Also, sometimes plants can go into shock from shipping or different growing conditions. Plants usually bounce back in a couple days once watered and placed in indirect sunlight/partial shade.

This little plant is gorgeous and I’m so excited for it to mature! A few leaf stems were broken but the plant actually had more than expected so I think it will be fine! I’m glad it made it ok in this heat!

Awesome packaging! Cutting was much larger than expected and had two new leaves growing already. Long roots. Highly recommend 🙂

In love with my mican’s! The seller was nice enough to send me new cuttings when my order came in damaged. The second batch was healthy, I’m already getting lots of new growth. Thank you!
