Description
If you’re looking for a unique yet attractive plant to add to your garden, then Frizzle Sizzle is a great option! Originating in South Africa, this spiral-grass like plant has a distinctive appearance with narrow leaves and coiled tips. Its leaves arise from an underground bulb and are tightly curled at ends. In the blooming season, frizzle sizzle grows scented yellow flowers.
Not to mention, this unusual plant grows healthy under partial sunlight and require less watering than other plants. Being safe from pests or other diseases, Albuca spiralis is an ideal plant for your garden.
Caring for frizzle sizzle requires you to know a little more about their growing region and conditions. If cared properly, you may even see your frizzle sizzle producing quirky and dangling vibrant flowers. The nodding blooms of frizzle sizzle have a sweet smell of vanilla and butter.
As a genus of 100 types of plants, frizzle sizzle (aka albuca spiralis) coils up from the bulb. Keep in mind that its unique eye appeal bulb needs a cooling period to grow healthy foliage and then the flowers. However, it can be quite challenging to grow it indoors, as they thrive more when kept under sunlight.
Nevertheless, frizzle sizzles are fussy about water and drainage needs. So, if you are not experienced in gardening, caring for this spiral grass plant can be a challenge for you. Besides this, it’s important for you to know that albuca spiralis takes 12 weeks to grow fully, especially when you have placed it in the right growing conditions.
Moreover, frizzle sizzle requires a minimum temperature of 60° F. Not to forget, frizzle sizzles grow best in slightly warmer temperatures. Nevertheless, an ideal growing season for these beautiful plants is winters.
WATER REQUIREMENTS
Water your frizzle sizzle plant throughout the winters, when it’s in its growth period. Make sure to water them every week, especially when the soil is dry to touch. However, it’s better to water your quirky spiral plant before it dries out completely.

very very securely packaged – this is a delicate plant and it arrived in perfect condition, not one single broken frond despite shipping clear across the country. Fast delivery, excellent little plant – already ca 5 inches tall – massively impressed with how well it was packaged to arrive in great shape, which was all thanks to the seller and NOT my delivery person, who left it upside down on my porch – despite even that, all the dirt was in the pot and everything was still where it should be!

The plant looked dead when it arrived. I was very upset but the paper inside had directions and within two days the plant had perked up and looks great. Very happy with it! It did loose some leaves and that is unfortunate as there aren’t many to start with in a tiny starter plant but hopefully more will come up! Overall very pleased!
