Description

(Lycopersicon lycopersicum) Determinate. The Rutgers tomato is an exceptional tomato that produces vibrant red, round fruits on a strong, disease resistant vine. This variety was originally introduced in 1934 as a hybrid for commercial growers by Rutgers University for Campbell’s Soup. It has since been selected for open pollination and developed as a modern commercial heirloom. Rutgers tomatoes average 2-4” across and weigh in at about 1 pound per fruit. An excellent choice for soups or canning, also makes a great slicer to eat fresh. {Quantity:} .10g (Min. 30 Seeds)

The seeds got here very quick! 🙂 They are already on their way to becoming plants. I’m so excited to see them give me nice ripe tomatos!

You guys are officially my favorite seed supplier. I originally bought just because the location was close to me, but the quality, selection, and germination of seeds is amazing and I’m hooked. This is my third time ordering, and my seeds have germinated well every time and produced plentifully. Hopefully this year will be the same! I’m so happy to have quality, organic, heirloom seeds so near to me. Thank you so much!!
